Virginia Tech
I just read about the Virginia Tech shooting. It appears that classes were canceled via E-mail. Part of me is shocked that that was all they did, but then I realized that there isn't a better way to announce this on a spread out campus...
They also gave the students the option of coming back and finishing out the last few weeks of the semester or just taking the grade they currently have in their classes and calling it a year. I wonder how many came back. Hokie pride or no pride, if my grades were all good, I think I would have started my summer vacation early!
